Pension & Investment Advice

Pension & Investment Advice

How we can help

We are pleased to provide Independent Financial Advice on Pensions, Investments and Retirement Planning. Here are some typical situations where independent financial advice can help you:

  • Reducing your tax bills by using pensions, Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) and other investments.
  • Saving and investing for your children’s university fees or to help them with the cost of a first home.
  • Building a pension or investment pot to fund your retirement.
  • Deciding how to use your accumulated retirement fund to ensure a secure and comfortable retirement.
  • Planning your estate and minimising Inheritance Tax.

Why should you seek independent advice? Many organizations will provide advice, but this may be restricted to the products of one particular provider. If you are investing your time and resources to obtain advice, a truly Independent Financial Adviser will be able to consider the whole range of products and providers available when tailoring advice to you.

We have built our business on providing independent, individually tailored advice to our clients. It is our goal to advise you in a way that reflects, not just our philosophy, but your needs, preferences and opinions. We provide as much clarity as we can in dealing with your money and believe that openness, honesty and integrity are essential elements of a successful business relationship. We can only continue to thrive as a business if our clients do also.

As part of the advice process we seek to get to know our clients well, including their needs, plans, priorities and feelings about financial matters. Being based in Tamworth, we are pleased to do this via face-to-face meetings at our office or another convenient location. We are also happy to provide consultations on the telephone or via video-conference, as may be needed.

What about charges

You should not choose your Independent Financial Adviser on the basis of cost alone. Levels of service, expertise and client experience are more important factors to consider.

Usually, the first meeting will be without charge. This enables us get an overview of your needs and allows you to get an understanding of how our services will benefit you. After the first meeting, if you decide that you would like us to help you, our typical advice fee is £795 plus 1% of the amount being advised upon. More details about our typical charges, including examples, are outlined in the document "Key Information About Our Charges" which you can download below.

All Financial Advisers should provide you with their Key Information document at the outset of your dealings with them. As part of a transparent approach we have decided to publish our Key Information document here, on our website.

Although the Key Information document outlines our "typical" charges and service proposition, it is not exhaustive and we are happy to discuss your particular requirements or answer any questions you may have. We will build our services and charges around your needs and welcome the opportunity to discuss these with you.

These charges relate to the areas of investment and pensions. The amount we charge depends on how much you intend to invest, or how much you already have invested with us. The greater the assets under management the lower the proportional charge. Generally our services are exempt from VAT.
